Nashville local Elizabeth Thompson has been working on demos off and on over the past several months. She plans to release a 6 song ep in the near future. Troy Alabama’s Fire Mountain spent the weekend in the studio churning out a 6 song ep produced by Arthur Alligood. The songs were well crafted, well written and beautifully arranged with amazing harmonies. You can check out the band and some of their previous work at www.firemountainband.com. The album will be mixed by Josh Davis out of Fort Mill South Carolina who is also credited with works by Arthur Alligood. I hope to share more from this session when the project is complete.

Coming around the corner…. sessions booked in the fall of 2011 for Alabama group Fire Mountain and Knoxville natives The Hotshot Freight Train. This will be the first visit by Fire Mountain and the third consecutive album produced at the Wash House for the HSFT. A free remastered version of a 2004 demo of The Paper Hearts (Mike McCombs, Will Stout) will be released by the end of the year. Check back here or follow me on twitter for updates.
